The app
Clepso has no account, no ads and no analytics. Your timers, settings and history stay on your phone: the publisher cannot access them and receives nothing automatically.
Errors and suggestions
App errors are kept on the phone. “Report a problem” and “Suggest an idea” prepare an email that you review and send yourself: nothing leaves without you. The publisher keeps these emails for as long as it takes to answer you and deal with the subject.
Donations
Donations are optional and go through Google Play. Google processes the payment and the publisher never sees your bank details. For this, Clepso includes Google’s billing library, which uses the internet and may send technical data to Google. See Google’s privacy policy.
Android backup
If backup is turned on for your phone, Android may copy the app’s data to your Google account, as it does for your other apps. You can turn this off in your phone’s settings.
Permissions
- Notifications and full screen: show the countdown and the alarm, even when the phone is locked.
- Exact alarms and phone startup: ring on time, including after a restart.
- Battery, foreground service and vibration: keep the system from cutting off the alarm, play voice announcements and vibrate.
This website
clepso.fr uses no cookies and no third-party services: the fonts, images and videos are served from its own server. The timer on the home page runs in your browser and sends nothing. The style you pick stays in your browser.
Like any web server, this one records the IP address, requested page, date and browser of each visit, for security and proper operation. These logs are deleted after 14 days. They are also used to count visits: only anonymous totals are kept (number of people, pages viewed, referring sites), with no address or fingerprint that could identify anyone. The server is hosted by OVH, in Europe.
